Dr. Samantha Hollingshead (aka Dr. Samantha) studied veterinary medicine at Colorado State University and graduated with the Class of 2010. She continued her education through a one-year internship working in Equine medicine in San Diego, CA. 

 Dr. Samantha was then employed for 1 year at a mixed animal practice in rural Oregon where she treated companion pets as well as various species of farm animals. She then transitioned to practicing exclusively small animal medicine working in Salt Lake City for 3 years and Steamboat Springs, CO for 8 years. While working in Steamboat Springs she gained emergency medicine experience and became certified in veterinary acupuncture.

Dr. Samantha joined West Valley Veterinary Clinic in March 2025 as a part-time associate veterinary, her professional interests include dentistry, internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. When she is not in the hospital providing loving care for your furry family members she can be found hiking, biking, skiing or cuddling with her border collie, Lasso.
