Dr. Meredith Bleuer comes from mid-west roots in Iowa and spent the majority of her childhood in Ohio. She attended Boston University and obtained a bachelor’s degree in conservation biology and ecology. After college, she worked as a veterinary assistant and discovered her passion for veterinary medicine. Dr. Bleuer spent the next few years in the beautiful pacific northwest, where she attended Oregon State University and received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2019.
Following her desire for outdoor adventures and mountain life, she recently moved to Salt Lake City. In her free time, Dr. Bleuer can be found skiing, exploring Utah’s national parks and hiking with her two wonderful dogs, Adelaide Jones (the most perfect chocolate Labrador) and Indiana Bones (a very handsome Pointer mix).
Dr. Bleuer enjoys working as a small animal general practitioner. She is passionate about preserving the human-animal bond which we see with our pets. She is particularly interested in internal medicine, senior pet care and behavioral challenges. Dr. Bleuer strongly emphasizes techniques to decrease a pet’s stress while in the clinic, and is excited to help make all visits at West Valley Veterinary Clinic a positive experience.
